Pepita Wilson
Design Director
Pepita’s career in design and branding has spanned over 20 years. Her career has closely followed her heart from a young skater girl to a fashion-conscious, music-loving adult and then surfing mum.
She has extensive experience in magazine design, notably with Next Media (Morrison Media) on the Gold Coast and was the art director for chik magazine, Australia’s only surf, skate and snow magazine for girls and was on the design team for Frankie magazine. She has worked at IPC Media in London, as deputy art director with Mizz magazine, ACP and EMAP in Sydney, art directing Surf Girl and Kerrang! magazines before working with ABC publications: Fairies, Giggle and Hoot and Organic Gardener.
Pepita was part of the teams that launched OK! and NYLON magazines in Australia.
Prior to joining Studio Oi, Pepita worked for TVSN, an Australian broadcast and Television company. She was part of the graphics team that designed all the online, and television marketing and advertising across all brands sold on the network.
Pepita has an amazing eye for detail and takes a brand's colours, elements and meaning to create stunning web and print designs. She is able to effortlessly paint a picture that has infinite possibilities.
You will not find a more community-minded person than Pepita. In her spare time she volunteers on patrol, and organises events and functions for the local surf club. Her pro bono work includes four years as a designer for Surfing Mums, an Australian wide not-for-profit. Pep has two beautiful children, and is in her element living and working next to the ocean.
